Russian Church

Architectural model of St. Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow, Russia. Made and assembled like a puzzle from 75 small pieces (slabs) of clay. Hollow inside. Hand painted with an abstract pattern in underglaze, intentionally left unglazed.

Not functional, abstract painting, low fire earthenware, handbuilt, pattern design, painted with underglaze, not glazed.

This piece was selected to be a part of an international juried exhibition: Art Without Borders, that took place in St. Petersburg, Russia, in the prestigious Stieglitz Academy of Art and Design in March 2023. This was my first international exhibition.
